Default Help and advice please.

I'm looking for a satnav system with the following specification, does such a thing exist?

Largish screen, four inches seems to be fairly good.
Built-in speed camera detection.
Self contained and portable.
European mapping.
Preferably rechargeable, but this is not essential.

And, very important, the ability to tell it that I'm driving a large vehicle and do not want to be taken down any farm tracks.

If this feature is not available at present I would like a unit that can be updated via the web so that when it is available I can add it.

Both my car and my wife's have satnav but neither have a 'large vehicle' setting and although you may wonder why a car would need such a setting, some people tow caravans.

In my case I'm just about to take delivery of a motorhome and it would be very useful to be able to avoid very narrow roads.

Thanks in advance to anyone who may be able to help. Just for the record I stumbled on this site by accident but as it happens I've bought two PDAs from www.totalpda.co.uk (Palm Txs) and found the service to be excellent.

Thank you for that. I just hope that someone else can help with some of the other specs.

A TomTom One European edition or 510 GO would suit your needs.

However, speed cam detection isn't in-built as such. It will actually use POI sets for known locations and advise you when you are near one.

You can get free speed cam POI's from http://poiplace.oabsoftware.nl

Used with Border_collie's links, you'll have everything you need.
