Default TomTom One sometimes is 200yds delayed

I have had my TT One for about six months and am generally very pleased with it but on certain days I notice that the display is running out of sync with reality and the voice commands. I will pass a road turning and it is only when I am about 200yds past it that the map will have caught up...anyone have an explanation please?

I have tried turning it off and starting again but the same thing happens. I have even removed the card and restarted and no change. This only happens from time to time but as I do not turn it on for every trip cannot say how frequently this happens.

Thanks Richard

Having a large number of, and large POI files.

You'll find 2D mapping is also faster than 3D - especially with many POI sets to display on screen.

Disable any unused POI from showing on the map.

Try getsurfers answer as well but if you havent used your tomtom in a while you should always give it a chance to get a good lock before you start driving.

Are you 'Clearing Route' before switching TT off? The data held will be for the last position before switching off, if you then drive to another position you will, in effect, be getting a factory or cold start.

This has been mentioned in another Forum where someone went to the USA and found it took ages to get TTTF.
