Hiya People,
I work for a pda repair centre.
Just out of interest there is a increasing amount of calls about the software hardware the core of the problem is not enough memory out of interest the information from both parties keeps shifting the blame from one to the other
I can't find the Ipaq has any other problems with navigational software such as TOMTOM or iGO
the pda out of interest is the Ipaq rz1710

Regards

Hi
I have a Ipaq rz 1710, I have just changed to Tom Tom 5 and is working well.
I previously had michelin installed, it kept coming up with an error not enough memory. I had already purchased Tom Tom, but did copy michelin onto a 256mb disc rather than the supplied 128mb disc, and it then worked okay, not sure whether it was just a disc error or not. I am sticking with Tom Tom it is far superior.

Regards

I'd remind customers to ensure apps are fully closed (hitting the OK/X only minimises on a PDA).

The more that's open, the less mem available for demanding aps such as Sat-Nav. This is almost always the root cause of slow/locking up etc issues.

tt6 all the way. via mich is too picky and does what it wants. You stil have to run the gps utility for tomtom to work, but apart from that not a problem.
