I would only recommend Bluetooth if you are going to use the receiver outside of the car. You will never get anymore reliable than a solid cable. You have the same amount of cables in the car with the 2 systems when you want to charge the Bluetooth receiver. Bluetooth is good if you want to be very mobile, the Navman lasts up to 20 hours which is really enough for anyone’s use, the tom tom only offers between 4-6 hours.

I have the IpaQ 2210 with TomTOm and Globalsat 308 Bluetooth GPS and I'm having lots of problems with it. Basically I only get 3 satelites locked most of the time and never more than 4/5. In town I often lose the lock completely. A freind of mine uses his TomTom with a Navman CF GPS receiver and gets regular 5+ locks!

I bought the Globalsat from www.totalpda.co.uk an notice it's no longer offerred, is this because of problems?

Any advice appreciated?!
