Default Acer N50 / Haicom 701 / Tom Tom 6 problem!

Hi all

I bought my other half the pda/ satnav package in the title for xmas, and we cannot get it working! An almost complete lack of instructions dont help.

The Haicom wired GPS car kit finds a lock, the N50 is taking power from the Haicom but the Tom Tom software says there is no GPS device. In the GPS configuration in the Tom Tom software I'm trying other NMEA - baud rate 4800 (which is what it says in the specs) - and every COM port as I havent got a clue which it is thats used.

Any help to get it working would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Rob

Hi Rob
When you select a com port leave the pda for a couple of minutes each time, if you have got the correct port you should see a yellow and black icon in the top right of the screen spinning, it sometimes takes a few seconds to kick in. I am using an ipaq 387 in a haicom powered cradle using com port one so I would try that first
