I have a Toshiba e740 with TomTom 2 and wired GPS rcvr.

The GPS sometimes starts up OK, sometimes 'hangs' and sometimes just disappears and then comes back with a twinkle sound but overall it's very flaky.
Is there a correct sequence for switching it all on and what's the correct soft boot sequence for this kit?
