Volume Of Data From Traffic Alerts

Hello

Does anyone use the GPRS data facility on their phone to get TT traffic alerts?

I know what my network will charge per Mb (£7) but have no idea what volume of data will be transmitted.

Are there settings to restrict how often the data is polled from the tt server?

Is the polling of data smart? (i.e. it only polls for data traffic relating to the programmed route)

You can tell tomtom how often to check in and it will download the information for the region you are in.

£7 is quite steep you might want to see about changing networks or signing up for a data bundle.
