Nokia 3100 and PDA for SATNAV???

Nokia 3100 and PDA for SATNAV???

I would like to buy a PDA and use it with A Nokia 3100. I'm reliably told that the Nokia has GPRS capability but can I use this in conjuction with a PDA to achieve a SATNAV system? The Tom Tom software has been recommended but I'm so new to this I need the advice of experience. How do I connect the phone, do I have to request a service from my network provider??
