Yeah, we need to know what's wrong with it before you bin it. I just fixed one last night that I'd sold on eBay and had returned to me.
The buyer experienced battery problems so I suggested he replace it. Unfortunately during the replacement process he disconnected the ribbon cables for the screen that run through the battery compartment. From what I can tell you need to be very careful when replacing the battery on a TG50...it's perhaps best to insert a thin small piece of cardboard in the compartment to keep the cables down while you slide in the new battery, being careful not to force anything.
I performed a minor take down by removing the back cover and got the ribbon cables back into their receptacles and it works great. Just be sure to watch for flying small parts!
