PDA as Speaker Phone

Considering that a PDA such as a XDA or a HP with built in phone has both a speaker and a microphone, does anyone know if it is possible to use a PDA as a speaker phone?

Yeah i-mate jam http://www.totalpda.co.uk/I-Mate-Jam...Pocket-PC.aspx i have it, speaker phone is not bad and has mic for recording notes.

I have an Orange SPV M2000 (same hardware as the XDA II, so I assume it's the same). Anyway, to activate the speaker phone you hold down the green dial key (physical button - not the on-screen button) for a few seconds and a icon of a handset with volume appears in the start bar. The quality is not top notch, but it works.
