Ok I will reply to my own message - even if it helps a few
Got the Route 66 European package with to use with my Nokia 6680
1st thing if anyone buys this make sure that the memory card is a DOUBLE VOLTAGE mmc - older versions of Nokia took a single voltage card - Sorry to say but Total GPA sent me a sgl voltage card and I spent a good few hours trying to load it unsuccessfuly. Eventualy I emailed route 66 and they recognised the problem straightaway and offered to replace it - so within the week I had the new card eventualy which loaded straight away !!!
Route 66 seems to be good product and works well - a word to the wise though I had assumed that all the european maps would be pre loaded onto one card ( a tad naive ) They are not - it comes preloaded with GBand Irl and main routes in Europe only . If you want the detailed Euro maps you have to then go through the process of formatting your card - taking some maps off and installing the ones you need from the discs they give. It does work , but a little cumbersome especialy if like me I am a rep in europe and some times travel in different countries each day during the week - I know the main routes its the detail I want - so I have to go through the process on the laptop each night - loading and installing the different maps . It would have been much better if Route 66 had supplied each country pre loaded on a seperate mmc - but I suppose a lot more expensive - apart from that Route 66 works very well on the phone even with a small screen - the voice directions are clear and the maps clear .
