Question Bluetooth connection woes

Using a Nokia6310i and an iPAQ3970 I am trying to connect to btinternet. Using the number provided by BT I try to connect and all that happens is that the number appears on the nokia screen and then the number unobtainable tone sounds. When I dial the very same number manually on the nokia i get straight through to the sign up tones.

Has anyone any ideas for solving this?

Many Thanks

Have you got Data enabled on your SIM? you need to also change the dialing options to all G

Thanks Steve,
I have used the Ired connection previously so I believe data is enabled, but I am not sure how to check this - my company keeps the user manuals for phones!! The G's are already inputted.

I contacted my isp and tthey suggested inputting pri and sec DNS numbers but again I am not knowledgable on the process for doing this.

And I thought PDas would make life easier lol

Thanks again, Steuart

You need to edit the connection that you created and click on advanced and input DNS Servers: 193.113.200.200 and 193.113.200.201

I think this is because BT need you to connect to their service via a BT telephone line. I did have this problem some time ago. I now use a GPRS PCMCIA card in my laptop.
