Default car kit advice

I've just got a HP2200 bluetooth, and tom tom bluetooth GPS. I'm having problems with keeping a lock on satilites, also i dont have a car kit and would like some advise on both.
the lock problems is due to my windscreen being athermic, i think, although there is a part behind the mirror which isnt athermic. as i've used the supplied magnet on the dash, is there anywhere i can get 1 from? also i'm not keen on putting it behind the mirror due to trialing wires when i need to charge on long journeys.
Which brings me to my second request a suitable car kit for my 2210 and gps with a goose neck, the tom tom one on this site doesnt say if its gooseneck or not.
any advise espeically the mirror prob would be appreciated.
Thanks Darren

The TomTom car kit for the 22XX series now comes with a rigid mount as opposed to the flexible gooseneck in previous versions of the kit which you can see in figA at http://www.tomtom.com/products/conte...284&Language=1. To combat the effects of an athermic windscreen you can use a re-radiating antennae which you can see at http://www.totalpda.co.uk/product4481_372.aspx or http://www.gpsoz.com.au/ra45.htm
