Have a look @ http://www.totalpda.co.uk/Carcomm-Po...Qtek-1010.aspx . You can plug the Carcomm receiver straight into it or you can get a Carcomm - TomTom converter cable to use the TomTom receiver with it which you can see @ http://www.totalpda.co.uk/product4744_0.aspx .

We have had no problems with the Carcomm receivers. I didnt mention the TomTom car kit as we have low stock but you can see it @ http://www.totalpda.co.uk/TomTom-Car-Kit-for-XDA.aspx and of course the TomTom receiver will plug straight into it.

OK, well i ordered a Carcomm kit but its been out of stock for ages, so i'm thinking of changing and getting the TomTom car kit, i believe i read in here somewhere that it marks the PDA and isn't a great fit? is this true?

I have an Orange M1000, i like the moulded idea that the carcomm and TomTom kits have, i basically want it to charge my PDA and GPS. Is the carcomm much better than the tomtom (i.e. should i wait for it?) or have you had no problems with the tomtom carkits?

Thanks in advance, really need some form of car kit now!! LOL (just got the GPS from you!!)

They can cause marks on the unit in some cases.
To be honest I personally would expect this from a moulded cradle especially if the PDA were to be fitted/removed from the cradle on a daily basis but some people see this as a fault with the mounts. I prefer the new TomTom kits as they have a better windscreen mount in my opinion.
