Flashing my PDA

Hello All,

I use my PDA (Dell v51x) for satnav (Destinator 6), but I only use it few times a year. Because I don't keep my PDA charged up for the entire year, I have to install the program through a PC every time I need to use it, obviously, it takes a bit of time to download and settings.

Is there a way to copy the image of the RAM into a SD card, and every time I want to use my satnav, all I have to do is charge it up, put the SD card with the RAM image (with the satnav program installed), image goes back into the RAM, and off I go?

Or is there a way of converting the installation so that it is installed through a SD card rather than through a PC?

Perhaps you'd be better with an all-in-one device that doesnt loose it's data.

I say this as you're using the device for sat nav, then storing in a drawer meaning you're wasting the capabilities of the PDA, and enduring such issues when you need to use it.

I'm sure if you sold it, you could pay for most, if not all of an all-in-one solution.
