Default Ipaq 1940 Loss of data

Hi,
I have a Ipaq 1940 which is working great, I got a new bat for it last year and the charge stays good now, the only issue I have is that if I forget to charge it for a few days the batt dies ofcourse but when I power it up again after charge all my data like appointments/tasks are all lost, I even have to reload the Tomtom application as it is no longer there.

My question is that is there any internal batt that I need to replace to keep my data or is this normal.

Many thanks in advance.
Tona

Quite normal, if you find this behaviour a pain consider a decent back up utility like Sprite Back up and perform regular back ups of the self extracting type to your SD card, this way when you get power back on the device a couple of taps from the stylus will re-install everything on the device - easy to use and well worth the small cost - Mike
