Default Connect Holux GPS to Ipaq 4150

I have an HP Ipaq 4150 PDA and am unable to connect a Holux GPS Slim 236 to it

I bought this unit cheap as second hand and it only came with the leads as the guy said you don’t need any softtware to connect it

I have tried searching but it’s not finding the GPS in the Bluetooth wizard

Any help appreciated

You should be able to use the 236 via Bluetooth unless the BT chip has died, the reason I mention this is because there was a spate of cheap 236 devices brought in from the USA (usually E-Bay) that didn't last very long, it was always the BT side that packed up. Does the Blue LED flash on the device? - Mike

Try it on another PDA that should prove if it is the receiver or not normally when you switch it on you get flashing red and green lights and then the blue light flashes with the red one.when you try to connect to your gps soft you get a rapid blue flash while it is trying to connect and if unsuccessful it reverts to a steady blue flash. On my Holox when connected I get steady blue and red flash.Hope this helps.
Make sure you have the GPS on your PDA set to the correct port also.
