Cannot connect

For some reason when my PDA is not connected to the sync cradle and i dont have a wireless connection I keep getting this message

"Unable to connect: You have no modem entries created, and no network card present"

I have check to see what programs are running and there is nothing running.. so I am a little lost.

And help would be good.

You have probably set up an email account and set it to check for mail every xx mins. Mine used to do the same.

Go into your email
Click Accounts
Click Accounts...
Click on each account you have
Click Next 3 times
Click Options
The option Connect and check for mail every.... will probably be turned on.
