Angry second ipaq 1710 crashed after few days! is this common?

Hi - i am very upset cos my second brand new ipaq crashed and burned after only a few days. All I did was connect it to the mains when it told me the battery was low, and with the second one i tried to turn it on after i connected it to the mains. I shall be taking it back and i want another pda but i dont think i want another ipaq...anyone know of a different brand in roughly the same price range that is reliable???

Welcome to our forums.
I'm sorry to hear you have had such bother with your iPAQs. When you say it crashed, did it just lock up or did it actually die?

Mmm - the fact that there are two posts like this is worrying as my 1710 is on its way. Has the unit shorted out and expired completely? Was it an HP refurb?

BTW can anyone recommend a wired GPS receiver compatable with the 1710, and a good vent holder?
