Angry iPAQ 2210 Needs Repairing

Hi

I have an HP 2210 that is 12 days outside its warranty and, wouldn't you know, it's developed a fault that needs repairing.

HP tech support have done all they can and now believe the unit is faulty. They suggest I get it repaired (at my own expense of course). Can anyone recommend a good (and not too costly) repair centre for HP iPAQs in the UK?

In case my problem is familiar to any other PDA owners, here are the symptoms:

My 2210 decided to stop charging in its cradle. I assumed the cradle was faulty and tried to charge it in my car. No luck. Then I used a different charing cable, still no joy. I tried a soft reset, a hard reset and I attempted to install a ROM update (but I couldn't because it stopped installing when it discovered my iPAQ wasn't connected to the mains!)

Is this a typical issue with iPAQs? It's rather distressing given how much I paid for it! Can anybody help?

It doesn't sound like a typical issue, at least I've not heard of it before. Apart from HP (who do out of warranty repairs for a price) there is http://www.ipaqrepair.co.uk/ , I'm not endorsing these guys but they seem to be the most popular for UK repairs.
