Default AXIM or IPAQ for TomTom 3

Hi there, this is my first post & please bare with me as i know v.little about PDA's! Ive decided to get myself one which will be mainly for internet, excel & TomTom3. I'd decided on the IPAQ 2750 until i read about the AXIM x50v...main interest with this is the VGA screen. My question is will this make a big enough difference to warrant buying because from reading reviews and other posts alot of people favour the HP Ipaq's? Any help appreciated, thanks.

Welcome to our forums.
The issue of VGA or not has been discussed before. It is only a benefit to you if you will be using it for running programs that were made for high resolution screens or for viewing high res images stored on you PDA. Otherwise I'd go for a normal screen and in my own opinion I'd go with the 2750.

Thanks for reply. My unexprienced thought was that cos of the higher res & graphics card it may cope with the TomTom3 better but then ive just read some articles saying that the VGA screen can slow it down? Do you know if it'd make a big difference to using the 2nd edition microsoft software because i would use Excel quite alot....or are the QVGA's good enough? Its hard for me to get time to go and compare models unfortunately.

Thanks for advice so far. Had a bit more of a look around and nearly decided to go for the Fujutsi Loox 720. Before I buy are there any ''coming soon'' products...or like the PMA Camera Show is there an equivalent show where soon to be released PDA's are announced? If so then i may hold off until then.

I'd get TT5 (which is what I think you actually mean) rather than TT3.x

All new purchases from www.totalpda.co.uk et al would be TT5.
