Unhappy Can an ipaq stop motorway madness?

I am suffering from 'need a new gadget' symptoms but do I replace my laptop, get an ipod, a PDA or Tom Tom Go? From my research it seems the hp ipaq 63 ... whatever, may be the toy for me. I want to see my scribble converted into legible text, surf the Internet while lying in bed, download millions of photos (is it posiible to download Photoshop or is that too much to ask?), listen to Rod Stewart while I'm writing my next best seller and be told not to go around the M25 the wrong way. I am not too bothered about the 'phone but is it possible to use Tom Tom on this ipaq model? Do I have to have a contract and if I don't, how does it work? Will it connect to my home Broadband system and how? Does it have a slot for a card reader so I can download photos from my camera's Flash card. Will the SD card from my DAB radio work on it? I am having problems finding specific information. Has anyone got one of these models? Forget about Rod, I think I can live without him!
