Default ipaq rz1710 cradle with power and rs232?

anyone know if there is a cradle or cable with a cigar lighter power supply and also an rs232 output availiable? i have found a few with usb connections but none with the 9 pin d type rs232 plug

the only way i could see to do it was to use one of the usb and rs232 splitter cables and supply the power using one of the cigar plug usb adapters and use the rs232 plug for the data transfer, is this possible?

thanks
dan

Welcome to our forums.
I don't think a cradle like that is available. Which USB/RS232 splitter cable are you referring to?

thanks for the welcome

it dosnt really need to be a cradle, as at a push we could use a universal cradle/mount, all we really need to do is use the rs232 output while charging the 1710

the usb adapter i was refering to is this http://www.totalpda.co.uk/Car-access...SB-output.aspx

I guess it'll work if the splitter is designed for iPAQs but you haven't said what splitter you have or will get.

I'm not sure if that can be used in the way you intend. What is it you need the RS232 for?
