Angry Unable to text on XDA IIi

Probably me but when i try to text using my xdaIIi i receive the error

"message undeliverable, make sure the text message address was entered correctly and try again". The number entered is correct. I have reinstalled the software but with the same message. Where does the XDA keep its config file for texting and why is this not wiped out when when reinstalling software.
By the way the number for O2 texting is correct at 447802000332. Any help would be appreciated as this ones got me going!

Welcome to our forums?
What software is it that you've reinstalled? Did you select the correct operator/payment plan when you configured the device initially?

I have reinstalled the microsoft pda software by doing a cold boot. I thought that this would wipe out all information other than the information contained within the ROM. It appears that the operating system is reinstalled from the ROM
but I still cannot text although I am able to receive. Thanks

Check with your network provider to make sure your SMS centre number is correct.
