Default Inernet connection cost

I am about to buy a PDA, probably a palmOne Tungsten T5 PDA or a
Dell Axim X5. I already have a Cingular motorola v400 cell but want pda for email and internet when not at home, due to illness. Cingular cost is much to high for my needs and low usage. I am away from desktop and just need to check mail and do online billpay etc. on an occasional basis. My question is what is least expensive way to do this using phonelines and hotspots or connecting to a PC and if these models will be best choice. Thanks, BOb
