Pda for e-mail & internet

I am interested in a new PDA but do not wish to be tied to an airtime contract as i am more than happy with my Nokia 6310i.

What is on the market with regard to models that are not tied to airtime contract but available as a data only - bundle?

I will be using it for e-mail & internet on the move, rather than dialing up a constant connection is more suitable.
