Microsoft Autoroute Hi all,
I have always been a fan of Autoroute and have a version on my PC that I use for route planning, which I find much easier than on my TT700. Although with use I am getting better with TT. However I still find the way TT calculates a route totally baffling. I think the reasonfor this is that there are only two choices shortest or quickest and I have not yet really found out how to plan a long route using waypoints.
Anyway, I have just noticed that the 2006 version of Autoroute has voice directions and as well as running on a PC, maps and routes can be exported to a PDA for use when driving. According to the box the maps are supplied by Navteq, which I have always found very accurate. This new software can be bought for £45 which seems to be a good price.
My question is does anybody have any experience with this version of Autoroute and can you give any views, comments or advice on the system.
I had often wondered why Microsoft did not include voice instructions with Autoroute, now that they have, is it any good?
