Outlook Express vs Outlook 2002

I have Outlook Express 6 installed on my home PC, and have just got an HP2210 iPAQ, which requests I install Outlook 2002, so that I can synchronise my emails, etc.
If I install Outlook 2002, how will this affect my current emails sat in Outlook Express 6? If they need to be transferred, how do I do this? Will my emails going forward now get sent to Outlook 2002 instead? Will this affect my email address?
Confused and in need of guidance.

nebnamwen once you setup Outlook it will ask you if you want to import outlook express settings and emails, outlook is so much better than outlook express, built in calander, contacts etc etc
