ASUS 716 MyPal

I have been using PDAs since they came on the market, and before that some of these organizers. I always used PALM until recently when I tried to switch to ASUS. I bought a MyPal 716 and used it for three months. Then I could not use it anymore sin ce it had developed very bad scratching in the writing area. I tried to talk to the sales person but they refused only saying I had used a sharp metalobejct to "carve" into the display. I am a grown-up, even a professor and I take that offending. What should be the reson for doing such a h
So now I am sitting with a three month old ASUS which cannot be used.

What can I do?
