iPAQ help wanted

This is a discussion on iPAQ help wanted within the General PDA Discussion forums, part of the Pocket PCs/Handhelds category; i seem to have crashed my ipaq by overloading its memory... i have tried resetting it... taking the battery out... ...

Default iPAQ help wanted

i seem to have crashed my ipaq by overloading its memory... i have tried resetting it... taking the battery out... i got 2 keep tapping the screen after resetting otherwise it goes to the my info screen & freezes... else... after the password screen i get a critical memory message after which... the system freezes up...

what do i do???...

Don't know if you can overload memory, if there isn't enough it doesn't store it.

Try a FULL or HARD reset rather than a SOFT reset. This will put everything back to normal but you will loose anything you haven't backed up or saved in your folder on your desktop etc.

ok... this is goin to sound really amateur... how do i do a HARD reset???...

You need to double check this in your instructions but 'normally' with the iPAQ you need to press and hold the calendar & iTask button at the same time (on the front of your PDA) Then AT THE SAME TIME use the stylus to press and hold the reset button on the back until the screen goes completely blank. (It is a lot easier if you have three hands but you will find a way of holding all buttons down at the same time)
