Smile Password issue on iPAQ 2210

Hi

My PDA is password protected. When I dock it to synchronize with my pc, a box comes up on my pc asking me to enter the password. This unlocks the PDA so that ActiveSync can transfer the data.

I used to be able to enter the password just on the pc and that would unlock it. Now, for some reason, I have to type the password into the box on the pda as well as the pc.

Is this a malfunction? Can I correct it because it is a pain.

Btw, I use ActiveSync 3.8 (Build 5004) with Windows Mobile 2003

Any help would be appreciated.

Had a similar 'glitch' on my 2002 PDA. Cured it by a SOFT reset.

Hi

Yes I was hoping a soft reset would help but it hasn't. It is annoying. Thanks for trying to help.

Jackie , Can't givbe a sollution to this, but if you go to
WWW.IPAQREPAIR.CO.UK and E-Mail him your problem you
may get what you want. He diagnosed my problem on my 2210 from my description of the symtoms and the part to repair cost me £10.00
This guy is excellent and it is well worth bookmarking his site.
hope this helps

Starfire.
