It is doable as almost all of the PDA's we sell have excel built in so you would be able to view and edit the the spreadsheets.
Something like the HP Ipaq 2490 would do the trick as it has a good spec and has bluetooth and wifi to give you net access.
It uses windows mobile 5 so you have pocket word, excel and outlook there is even a powerpoint viewer. The software will look and feel like the versions on your PC although you wont have exactly the same option they will do acll the basic stuff you need.
