find the file called great-britain_maps.cfg in your maps folder (or the country name if non UK) and delete the file.

Start TT and it will recreate the file and your problem should be solved. Also ensure your mem card is not locked as read only (normally a plastic toggle on the side of the card marked "lock".

Shouldn't make a dif.

Which device, OS, GPS brand etc? What settings have you tried/used in your nav software?

TT = TomTom

Your maps should be in a folder called Great-Britain_maps (or other country if not UK). Find the file I said earlier, and delete ONLY that file. Start TT, and it will recreate the file, and solve your problem.

Just a thought, if you exceed 26 OV2 files (the files your custom POI's are stored in) TT cannout handle all of them, and will only show the first 26 it loads/sees from your mem card.

Now I'm lost. Are you saying your mate installed TT for a GO on your PDA? If so, that's your problem.

Also make sure you have the 5.21 patch. You will almost certainly need to re-activate your software after doing so. Many devices don't work correctly with TT unless the 5.21 patch is installed.
