Default Never had a PDA before!

Dear Group, 1st post from someone who's never had or used a PDA but wants one.

I have almost narrowed my selection down to this,

Qtek 9090 in all it's many names, SPV M2000 being one of its aliases.

Or

Qtek S200.

The first ones have a qwerty keyboard, but they're larger. The Qtek S200 has no keyboard but its smaller. And size, contrary to popular belief does matter, i want small as possible.

Could someone tell me whether its still an easy matter to type out texts and emails on the model without a keyboard please?

Many Thanks

Yes you can enter by tapping on a keyboard that you can call up on screen.

You might want to look at this unit as well.

Same size at the S200 but with a slide out keyboard. Its only slightly thicker due to the keyboard but its still phone size. I got mine about 4 weeks ago and carry it like a normal and use it like a normal phone.

Thank you very much Martin, that looks just the sort of thing. But tell me if you will, which in your opinion is the easiest to use to send text messages?

many thanks

Windows Mobile 5 has 'letter recognition' or 'transcribe'. You write the letters or words on screen and it converts to type. If it doesn't recognise some of your letters it has a facilty where you can fine tune to your writing. A little practice and it's faster than using the pop-up on screen keyboard.

Theres a copule of options for text input so you will find one that suits you best. I'm using the slide out keyboard on the Tytn at the moment.
