Red Light Flashing

I have an Acer N35,my prob is it works ok but since i synced it up a couple of days ago the red light keeps flashing.Why is flashing,andhow do i stop it.I was told it was something to do with messages,but i can't see any.Any help would be much appreciated,Thanx for your help in advance.
