hi
i am looking for a pda and could do with some help
i will be using the pda for geneeral duties i.e contacts,addresses etc.
i will also using it for pipe calculations and possibly to hold some cad drawings on.the pda could have a camera on it but not essential.
i have been reading about the the differebt operating systems , palm and windows and was wondering which was the best
can anybody help? it would be much appreciated

There arent many PDA's with cameras these days. Only the PDA phones have them. If your looking for a decent spec I would recommend these two HP models.

They would both do what your looking for contacts and calender. Not sure how coplex the pipe calculations are though. You could use excel or even a decent calculator from the ipaq choice list. With a memory card you will be able to store your cad drawings though you wont be able to view them on the PDA.

The 2490 has a faster processor and wireless networking built in. I think you would be better with the windows mobile OS as you will find it similar to windows on your PC.
