GPS Lock with ACER N35

I've had my acer no for a week and the GPS with Destinator has been fine. Now I cannot get a GPS lock at all. Does the weather affect these things? What should my GPS settings be? Has anyone else had problems?

I have had my n35 for a week , ocassionally it does not find gps receiver , i switch off and it is fine ,re weather locked onto 6 sats night when using in a pea souper fog , normally connects to 8-10,which is good as not using external gps receiver

Tried it again this morning and still no GPS lock. The blue light flashes constantly so GPS hardware should be OK. Tried a hard reset also and reinstalled the Destinator software. Still no GPS lock. I'll wait for a clear day (a bit fooggy round here) and try again. Though I don't see why this should be a problem. Aren't GPS receivers just radio receivers?
