I recently bought an Acer N35. Although I've been an IT consultant for over 10 years I'd never invested in a PDA previously, but now I'm a qualified pilot I needed a GPS device (for occaisional use as most of the flying I do is in Aircraft that have fixed GPS device)
From what I saw of it briefly it looked promising although I did hit a couple of what I now know were "known" issues with the Acer N35.
Unfortunately I dropped the Acer into some water and although I promptly opened it to remove water part of it never recovered - the GPS bit. Home insurance excess meant I couldn't claim for a replacement.

So I've now ordered a Mitac Mio P350 instead.
My questions:
1. Is there a good guide on to how applications are installed onto Windows Mobile (2003 and 5). i.e. what goes where. For example - some apps I've told to install on the SD-MMC card are still capable of being run if the Acer resets iteself when the batteries dies (even though the icon dissapears). Others can't cope. If I'm away from my PC I'd like to know how to put back the missing bits (if possible)
2. There are some very cheap 802.11b SDIO Wifi cards about. I'm just wondering given the potential limitations of the PDA itself whether the extra expense of an 802.11g card is worth it
TIA
Neil
