Visual Basic programs on PDAs - help!

Apologies for being a totally clueless newbie but I need some advice before buying a PDA. I have a sketchy knowledge of programming in visual basic, and want to write a simple program on a PC and put the .exe file onto a PDA to run it. Can anyone tell me if this is possible without having to delve into the complicated sounding world of eVB or other additional things to download? I've been looking at the Acer N35, does this seem a likely PDA to be able to do this?

You will need to write your aps for pocket PC. PC versions won't work.

Also, PPC devices run CAB files, not exe.
