Talking Connection Problem USB- mda compact 3

This is my first thread, most problems I encounter seem to have been experienced by others, however, I can't seem to find anyone with this problem!

All of a sudden, when I plug my MDA in through USB my computer does not even react, the screen lights up ( so its getting power) however, the computer does nothing! No beeps, Nothing in "My Computer" no reaction from active sync.

When I try to find device it doesnt find it.

Can anyone help me????

This may work.

Make sure your device isn't connected to your PC.

Start ActiveSync and go to File - Delete Mobile Device.

Connect your device and let the Wizard set you up again.

Thanks for the idea, unfortunately it was unsucessful but really appeciate your idea.
My problem seems to be the computer n ot even registerting the presence of the pda.
I have tried 2 different USB cables, removing and re-installing active-sync.

Any other ideas?

Check ActiveSync on your desktop host to make certain it has not turned off the USB port connection. If you have reinstalled, that is a good possibility. Also, if you are running a firewall, verify that the AS permissions have not been reset.
