Help needed

Help.
I am looking at buying an o2 orbit or a orange spv3100.
I would like to use sat nav.
Orbit has built in gps but i have heard the cpu is a bit slow.
Spv 3100 has double cpu power but no built in gps .
Would it be better to go for spv 3100 and then buy gps for it ?.
Any comments plz
