What happened to the Tungsten T3?

Just got a Treo 750 three weeks ago and it is giving me all sorts of problems. Decided to give up on it and dust down the old Tungsten T3 and do without the inbuilt phone but I have lost the CD Rom and Sync cradle......but where can you get replacements? Palm Store no longer acknowledge the existence of the T3. What happened, was it riddled with problems?
I also have an E2 that I have been given but cannot work out which is the better option, the T3 or the E2?
Can anyone enlighten me on the best option and the differences?
