Default XDA mini s problems...(tt6?)

I've got an XDA mini s, which keeps having errors. These can include things like buttons not appearing such as the 'Now Playing' in WMP, contact list being blank but still being able to highlight different locations on the page, the device lock option on the 'today' interface disappearing..and MANY more.

I'm certain this is to do with my recent TomTom 6 installation, as I have heard it can cause a lot of problems, and these errors have only developed since the installation. I bought a genuine, retail version of tt6, installed exactly as instructed...so surely it shouldn't cause so many problems..right?

I've heard of a fix for audio problems that tt6 develops where some file called btcoreif.dll and something else is copied before installation, then put back afterwards...but I can't find these files before or after the installation (i even did a hard reset to see if they were there before).

Has anyone got any ideas? I'm so sick of constantly soft resetting to get things to work, especially when i am driving. and before anyone suggests it...i don't want to uninstall tomtom permanently.

Thanks in advance to any help

Hi, have been searching for an answer to the same issue for months, then came across your post. Installing TomTom on my mini S resulted in very poor sound quality from WMP. My guess is that TT has hijacked the sound settings in some way, as the sound level from TT is very good. Can't help with the solution but rest assured it isn't just you with the problem! Rgds,
