Unexpected Error

I've got an HP rx3715 which has developed a fault I cannot resolve.

When I enter a new appointment into calendar and click the OK I get an "unexpected error has occurred in this program" message.

I have done a soft reset which does not resolve this error.

I have tried to perform a hard reset but it does not work and only a soft reset is carried out.

Has anyone come across anything similar or can anyone offer any solution?
