Mio P550, Anquet maps & Livetracking

I am considering buying the P550 to go with my Anquet maps and use the livetracking facility. If I understand this correctly, it automatically stores waypoints as I move along providing me with my route when I return home. I will then be able to copy it to my PC for future use.

Has anyone tried this and how good is it?
