want a new pda

hi i currently use a palm lifedrive pda as a sat nav and would like a new pda thats good for sat nav, it needs to have bluetooth and wifi, i use tomtom.

Yup I'm running version 5, and know v6 works too.

V7 is due out soon, so you might want to hold off.

is the HP iPAQ hx2790 a good pda and what about wifi as it only has 802.11b and not g, does it matter

I have that PDA, and I have no issues with wi-fi at all.

It's a very good PDA. First thing to do if you get one, is update to the latest ROM from the HP website as this fixes some issues that the shipping ROM suffers. Do that, and you'll find it a very good all rounder.
