HTC p3300 setup problems

I have had the HTC p3300 artemis now for about 8 months, on a vodaphone contract. From the day it arrived I have not been able to send or recieve picture messages or surf the internet. I contacted vodaphone customer services, who in there wisdom told me that they have never heard of the type of phone so can't help me! Can any of you clever people give me both instructions and what settings to use to make these functions work on my PDA?
