Sounds Like an issue the HP's used to have with activesync starting up automatically all the time.
Try this.
go to Start>Program>ActiveSync>Menu>Add Server Source
>under Edit Server Setting put 1.1.1.1. as Server address, tap Next (bottom right)
youl'll get three boxes to fill : Username, Password, Domain. fill in xxx in all, tap Next, then, tap Finish
Once configured you should have another sync source show up on your main AS screen...continue on.
Tap the menu soft key again and you should see that the sync schedule option is no longer greyed out.
Change your schedule from a timed automatic start of ActiveSync to manual under both fields
Now, to remove the fake server:
go to Program>ActiveSync>Menu>Option
highlight Exchange Server, tap Delete, you'll get a Warning message asking "would you like to continue?" tap Yes.

Acer want me to sent it to them but I am unsure if they will sort it out, or just send it back in the same condition, saying no fault found! |
