Default Map software reload

I have a Mio 168 PDA+GPS unit and recently lost all my software through the battery discharging.
First I tried to reload my TomTom 5 as per original instructions and kept getting messages 'no maps found' when I had loaded them. After several repeats it suddenly cleared and was OK.
Now having problems with MemoryMap. It seems to load but does not appear on the program list, but does on Settings - Menus list, supposedly therefore appearing on the Start menu as it is checked, but it does not appear on the Start list either. Also, oddly, if I go to Settings - System - Program Remove, the program is listed there. I have tried several times to remove and reload without success.
I then found that if I went to File Explorer I could locate my maps on the card there and clicking on them opened up MemoryMap and the map OK. Having now done that about 4 times, tapping on File Explorer now gives an error message 'Error opening the shortcut or locating the target filename'
Any suggestions, please?
Thanks

Could be that the PDA isnt reading the card correctly.

IF that warning is coming up when you click file explorer then its an internal memory issue. Not sure what you can do about that.

Have you checked on the mio website for support?
