Default Assisted GPS

hi,

ive just ordered a HP Ipaq 614, and found it it comes with 'assisted GPS'.

I do know that this means it downloads data every couple of days, at cost. Does anyone know if this can be disabled, so i can just use it as a normal gps reciever, without it trying to 'assist' me, and therefore costing me money! If not, i'm going to have to return it back!
